What is the Sonos web app?

The Sonos web app is a web-based version of the Sonos app, letting you easily control playback and grouping from the browser of a desktop or tablet.

What’s the difference between the Sonos app and the web app?

The web app is designed for playback and grouping control only. With the Sonos mobile app, you can add or remove products from your system, configure home theater setup, create alarms and preset groups, and more.

How do I update to get the newest version of the Sonos app?

You can update by going to System > System Updates. While you're there, turn on Automatic Updates to receive future versions automatically.

Can I update if I have the S1 Controller?

No. You can find instructions on how to update from Sonos S1 to the new app on Sonos Support .
